Business Cards

Letterheads

When designing your company letterhead and order form you could be forgiven for solely concentrating on their design and the quality of paper they are printed on.

However, your company letterhead and order form need to follow several legal requirements. If you fail to implement these then hard work and vital cash will have been wasted.

Thankfully the requirements are simple. They also vary by the type of business run.

If you are a sole trader you can trade under your own name or you can choose a different business name. If you choose a business name that is not your own name, you must include your own name and the business address on all letterheads and order forms.

If you are a partnership business your letterheads, order forms, receipts and even invoices must include the names of all partners and the address of the main office. If there are many partners then it is also acceptable to state where a list of partners may be found.

If your company is trading as a limited company the letterhead and order form stationary (whether printed or electronic versions) must include:

• Your full registered company name
• The company registration number and place of registration
• The company registered address and the address of its place of business, if different

There is no need to include the names of the directors on the letterhead for a limited company, but if you choose to name directors all directors must be named

Compliment Slips

A compliments slip is a slip of paper that contains the same name and address information that would be on a letterhead of formal letter stationery, the pre-printed salutation "with compliments" or "with our/my compliments", and space afterwards for a short handwritten message to be added. It is used in correspondence, as an enclosure for other material. Compliments slips, which are informal, can sometimes substitute for more formal letters of reply. For example, the response to a request for a product catalogue or a price list may simply be the price list or catalogue, with a compliments slip attached, rather than with a formal letter of reply. The inclusion of compliments slips in responses to such routine requests is often seen by businesses as a necessary step in maintaining good public relations. Happy people are productive people!

 

Continuation Paper

A continuation sheet often has less information than a letterhead. For instance, a letterhead is likely to have the company address, contact information and company logo. A continuation sheet may only have part of this information, taking up less space on the page. Sometimes just a light version of the logo can be used to add a professional look to additional pages required.

 

Invoice Paper

An invoice or bill is a commercial document issued by a seller to the buyer, indicating the products, quantities, and agreed prices for products or services the seller has provided the buyer. An invoice indicates the buyer must pay the seller, according to the payment terms. Not only does pre printed invoice paper look professional but your invoices will always stand out from the crowd.

 

Delivery Notes

A printed Document accompanying a shipment of goods that lists the description, grade, and quantity of the goods delivered. A copy of the delivery note, signed by the buyer or consignee, is returned to the seller or consignor as a proof of delivery. A great way of reminding your customer where their product was ordered from to encourage repeat orders. These can produced as NCR pads with perforations for your convenience.
